Small Business Procurement Programme

In accordance with the Small Business Act 2004, the Small Business Bureau is developing a Small Business Procurement Programme to facilitate 20 percent of Government procurement of goods and services from small businesses. Status of the Procurement Programme is presented below:

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) drafted and shared with the Public Procurement Commission (PPC)

Coordinate assistance from an Attorney-At-Law to review and assist in finalizing SOPs for Procurement Programme.

 

Development of a register of approved small businesses

Finalize and establish registry of Approved Bidders of small businesses/suppliers for government agencies to access.

 

Verification and reporting procedure

Coordinate assistance from an Attorney-At-Law in developing and finalizing Regulations for the Small Business (Amendment) Act.

 

Guidelines for the bidding process

Joint tendering and sub-contracting framework

Development of a prototype web application to simplify accessing small business clients in compliance with the Procurement Act

Complete, test and launch web application for Procurement Programme.
